Every year in the town of Kirkwall, in Orkney, Scotland an annual major event takes place. It is called Kirkwall Ba Game which is the traditional football games. It is played everywhere in the United Kingdom. I read and reread what this game is about and was confused a little bit by its rules. What I understood is that this game is played on the streets and the team is determined by the street you come from and there are up to 200 people playing the ball. You can read more about it here.
I've been there. It's awesome. There's too teams called the uppies and the doonies. The uppies try to get the Ba' (ball) up the road and the doonies try to get it down the road into the water.
