It may seem that this BMW needs a real maintenance, but it’s not that. For those of you who don’t know, this style is called rat style and it gives an impression that the car is rusty and “unfinished”, but these are the main characteristics of this style. The only question: is this car body solid enough and safe for passengers?
Why would you buy a bmw that looks like a rusty pos. I understand the artistic and unique side, but everyone who sees you is going to think you're driving a pos!
Trust me, creating this finnish on something that is as large as a car is a feat and it is as safe as any other e28 5 series with paint, and it is probably in better shape than most due to the fact that the person who owns it is probably a metalsmith of sorts and obviously has put allot of time and effort into creating something unique. I can tell you from my experience that the finnish on that car is just on the surface like paint and is protecting the car because oxidized steal like that wont rust anymore than that.

Errrrrrrrr.. nah
And rat-style becoming popular soon? I can't see why, rat-rods aren't anything new, they've been around for decades already.
