This image of a dangling and swinging construction worker reaching his muscled arm out to grab a drowning woman won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for photography. The Des Moines, Iowa Center Street Dam flooded in June of 2009 and luckily for this woman a construction crew with a crane were able to pluck her out of the raging water. This guy is a real hero. He deserves to be talked about now.
Would you like to fly through the air as if you were a superman? Raymond Li, engineer from Canada, spent about 10 years to design the most unusual water-powered machine that can speed your way across the water. You’ll be hovered up to 30 meters in the air. Your speed will be up to 22 miles per hour.
The water isn’t the pricy object it is those wild surfers that are riding the curls. This shot shows one surfer taking a tumble during a surfing contest that pays out 50 grand. The waves held him under the water for 30 seconds. That is the biggest wipeout this photographer has said he has seen in 30 years.
These guys wanted to test a new car by racing on the sand. There was a puddle on their way, but the driver decided that his jeep was not afraid of water. So he started to drive through it at high speed, but the puddle happened to be not that small. See more photos and a video of what was going on after the jump.

Take a look at this monster’s round jaw. It looks horrifying. But this creature is fantastic, as it can survive in extreme environments that would kill people and most animals and even survive the vacuum of space. It can stand temperatures of as low as -273 degrees C (-460 degrees F) and as high as 151 degrees C (303 degrees F). It can stay alive after boiling in hot water, and getting 1,000 times more radiation than humans. It can spend almost a decade without water and food. Probably, these monsters would have seized our Planet by now if not two circumstances. On the one hand, they are extremely small (the biggest adults are able to reach a body length of 1.5 mm). On the other hand, they are slow walkers. They are even called Tardigrada because of this.

Two-stages clustered water rocket flown to 810 feet with 120psi.
It is said that New York tap water is delicious. But why is that? Maybe because it has plenty of tinny tiny crustaceans called copepods.
These copepods are absolutely harmless and are invisible to a naked eye. Apparently, they are added to tap water to eat mosquito larvae to keep water sources clear.

Accidents on the waters are more frequent than one would think and this huge gallery proves it well.
Indeed, lots of different boats wreck each year all over the world, and container ships are no exception!
The reasons for the accidents here are varied, but in all cases the photos are impressive.

Check these pictures of a dam spitting huge blasts of water because of floods formed by heavy rains.
Really impressive!

A glass half filled with water. What do different people think about it? Some thoughts are pretty funny, some are just smart, and others are stupid.

This is the largest and most expensive water fountain in the world. It is built and set in Burj Dubai Lake. It is over 900 feet long and can spray jets up to 500 feet high. The fountain can spray as much as 22,000 gallons of water in the air. Over 6,000 super lights and 25 color projectors help to create amazing dancing water sculptures. Watch the video to see the real beauty of this water fountain.

Alexander is only 14 years old, but he is a real fighter. He continues to enjoy his favorite sports even though many people don’t understand or support his desires.

It is a very topical issue today when the summer heat came in force.
These pictures were taken in New York in 1953 and show children having fun with a fire hydrant and fighting with a heat wave back then. I guess, not much has changed since then, I would love to do this too. It feels good, plus it is fun.

We previously posted the technique of Shaolin monks to be able to run on water, this time we have new pictures and a lot more of them to see in detail how it happens.

Cats don’t like water generally and it is easy to see the discontent on their funny faces ;)
Take a look.

This is a set of pictures from London Baby Swim, a school where they teach babies as young as 6 six weeks old to swim and to develop their motor skills. Of course, the parents take part in this process :)

For all the pranksters, I know you’ll appreciate it. This prank is just epic!
The best thing is that you’ll only need toilet paper core and water.
Take a look!

This rather unusual house looks very much like a water tower. In fact, it may have been one at one time. While it is very elegant on the inside, its round shape contrasts sharply with the square corners of some of the stairs and the kitchen. It is a very strange house indeed.
