This popular franchise all kids love is not all pretty. When you think about it, Pokemon is only about catching little, sometimes helpless, creatures against their will to make them fight against others ‘til they cannot take it any longer, pretty much like in dogfights.
Not so childish after all, but what if the game was exclusively dedicated to a more mature public?
Well, here is what you probably could see in the game.
These pictures are taken from "How to Photograph an Atomic Bomb" book by Peter Kuran.
As you already know it, if you didn’t skip history classes, hundreds of nuclear bombs were detonated in the United States between 1945 and 1962.
Due to the violence and dangerousness of those bombs, it was no easy task to take photographs of the explosions and yet there were photographs crazy enough to capture them.

Many people call Rio de Janeiro one of the world’s most violent cities. Why? You can see everything yourself, because the gangsters’ paradise has been documented by photographer Joao de Carvalho from Portugal. He took many pictures of local drug traffickers and gangs who are often the bosses of communities where Brazilian state does not exist. At the age of 18 these guys provide neighbors with many basic needs, including food and medicines.

Before Mayor Guiliani turned Times Square into a family friendly location it was known for violence, drugs and porn. It was a very dangerous place but at the same time exciting. These photos remind us of what it was like back in those days.
