Now it is somehow “trendy” in China to climb somewhere and try to commit suicide, but in most cases, no one jumps.
And thank God, it is well that ends well ;)
Here are two cases with girls who were tired of life.
I do not know what made them to take this step, but still, you shouldn’t rush to go there ))

His wife left him and filed for divorce, except that she prohibited her ex-husband seeing his four-year old daughter.
He did not find anything better than to take his little girl and go jump off a bridge.
After two hours of negotiations the rescuers managed to take them from the bridge, though it was done with difficulty.
As they say, all’s well when all ends well. But the number of such suicidal attempts in China is frightening.

My Chinese skills are pretty much to zero so here is what I understood.
The guy who’s trying to jump off the roof was working in a factory and his boss did not pay him for his work. He came back one night to get what was due to him and was beaten instead, so he went on the roof to commit a suicide.
But luckily, a woman convinced him not to jump by begging him and kneeling on the ground.
Now there is an investigation.
