The Cooper Creek River in Australia is a good place to find crayfish, but certain times of the year it is literally run over with the nasty things. There are so many that it would take a team of people and shovels to clear them all away.

This happened on the River Ribble in Lancashire, England. A Labrador and his owner were walking along the shore when the dog strayed on to thin ice close to the center of the river and fell into the water. Witnesses of this drama shouted to the Labrador’s owner not to go after her pet, but she did what she did. Laying on her front, she was crawling out on the ice trying to get closer to the dog when the ice broke under her weight. Now the woman had to fight for her life in the icy water. Luckily, her partner rushed up and rescued her with the help of the dog lead. And what happened to the Labrador? Go inside this post to find out.

Who could it be?

Two carriages of a passenger train fell into a river on Thursday, August 19, after floods knocked out a bridge in southwestern China. They swept 200 meters down the river. No casualties were reported and no one was missing, as all 1,300 passengers had been ordered off the train before it derailed. Terrible experience for these people.

Tip: the red boat has nothing to do with it.
