There are always outliners among hundreds of thousands of letters written to Santa every year. Some of them are sincere, and some are just jokes. But they are still hilarious and fun to read.

The ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan had his staff permanently carve his name into a two mile (three kilometer) stretch of sand on his private island that is located across the water from the city.

These are alphabetical letters that were formed accidentally by every day, normal object and things that you might see.

A young priveleged girl wrote out several detailed letters to the tooth fairy demanding that she receive compensation for her teeth, even adding a penatly to the amount owed.

In 1918 Frederic W. Goudy wrote The Alphabet and Elements of Lettering. In the work he suggested that words, which were made up of letters, made sounds and therefore had to be organic. Andreas Scheiger decided to prove his point by opening the letters to see what was inside. He had to have a great creativity to accomplish this project and the details are simply incredible.
