A promotional campaign took place in Sydney to mark the opening of a new clothing label. A 400-pound block of ice was put at the Martin Place with 1000 Australian dollars frozen inside. To get them, people had to work hard ;)
In the west of Sydney on a parking lot, a woman confused the car gears and crashed through a brick wall. Unfortunately for her, she was hospitalized, the car was towed to a pound and someone will have to repair the wall.
Sydney inhabitants held a Swimwear Parade in honor of the International Guinness World Records day. It cost $50 to participate in the parade. Money raised will go to charity, namely to increase the education level of Australian Aborigines. More than 200 people attended the parade.
That’s how 6 thousand of Australians started their Sunday morning. The bridge was closed to traffic and was covered with the freshly laid grass for families to enjoy their picnic as part of a food festival. 190,000 people wanted to participate in this event but only 6,000 could enjoy it. I would definitely like to visit it. I wouldn’t even mind to get up early ;)
Yesterday morning, the inhabitants of Sydney could observe such a fantastic picture. A powerful sandstorm struck Queensland and New South Wales in eastern Australia. This sandstorm is the strongest since 1940. Sandy cloud was the densest in the entire history of observations of such phenomena. Very beautiful and unusual photographs. Enjoy!
Sydney, Australia. More than 3,000 girls participated in Plus-Size model search. The requirements for plus-size models are no different from those of high-fashion models, excepting in larger overall bust-waist-hip measurements; they must have excellent skin, hair, and teeth, and emote well to the camera. The US size for Plus-Size model is over 14 and British – over 16.
Firefighters arrived on the scene after the five luxury boats were covered with fire. Fortunately, the flames did not spread on other boats (there were a lot of them). Unfortunately, the boats that caught fire can’t be repaired. At present, the cause of fire isn’t determined.
A burst water main created a 25-metre hole that buried two parked cars and a power pole and caused a landslide into Cooper Park. I was particularly impressed with photos taken from a helicopter. You will see them at the end of the post.
400,000 people turned out to watch the largest gay pride march in the Asia Pacific wind its way through the city's Oxford Street gay district. Around 10,000 marchers took part in the parade. And there was a lot to see, a great show ;)
