These are photos of an aircraft that survived hail that was the size of a tennis ball. The pilot managed to safely land the plane. Luckily, no one was hurt. This story occurred in Canada in 2006, but we haven’t shared it with you yet.
Amazing! Plane in front of moon photo. Even if it's hard to believe, but it wasn't photoshopped.

Federal policemen from Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, stopped a light plane carrying smuggled goods from taking off, smashing their vehicle into its wing at high speed.
It was a miracle that no one was hurt.
During the annual EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin one of the F-16 planes managed to end its landing in the much softer grass, resulting in some dramatic photos.
A small single engine plane was forced to make an emergency landing onto a street and park. The plane hit a parked minivan that was full of five people, but luckily no one was injured.
You aren’t the only one surprised that this gargantuan airplane can take flight. Someone has to have faith in 80s Ukrainian engineering, considering this aircraft was built in the 1980s at the Antonov Development Lab. Known as “Mria” or “a dream” this huge flying building can carry a Mack truck and holds up to 250 tons, which makes it the best flight to take for an epic party.

Here are some screenshots from Google Maps and it is a real airplane that looks like it is rainbow colored. Obviously, it is the result of some phenomena associated with the camera, or the angle, or…
This stunt plane was performing in Santa Fe, Argentina when it snapped apart in mid air. The stunt pilot, Dino Moline, was 22 years old at the time and walked away with only an injured foot by using the plane’s ballistic parachute to bail out.

The day of the Super Sport Gold Race has become a dangerous trial to Reno Air Races pilot George Giboney. His Thunder Mustang airplane known as “Rapid Travel” went down short after taking-off. It was actually smashed to pieces on the airfield. But George got out from the wreckage unscathed. He was taken to the hospital, but you can see the photos of his spectacular crash inside this post.

Princess Juliana International Airport is located on the island of St. Maarten shared by two nations: the French and the Dutch. This airport is famous all over the world because it is too close to the Maho Beach. People who go there always see airplanes that fly just above their heads when entering the airport.
This airport is unique. Its runway is very short, only about 2,130 meters. This is what forces incoming airplanes to low over the beach, and this is what attracts plane spotters from all over the world. They can easily shoot spectacular images of incoming airplanes and get adrenaline while an aircraft is landing under manual flight control, because the airport doesn’t have a system of automatic landing.

Of course, all plane runways are long enough for airplanes to land. But there are situations, when jets overshot a runway. Such case happened in Jamaica last winter. There were over 150 passengers aboard an American Airlines flight going from Miami to Jamaica. The weather was not nice, as there was a heavy rainstorm. The jet overshot a runway when it was landing, and broke up in 3 parts. Good, no one was fatally injured.

Being very attentive to even the smallest details is Young C Park’s life slogan. His plane models are always amazing and detailed. They look very realistic! I can’t even imagine how passionate and patient one should be in order to spend days and nights creating such a masterpiece!

These photos were taken in a hangar at Dulles. It collapsed because of heavy snowfalls that were ravaging the region ... Apparently, the hanger was not built to withstand such violent snow storms.
These pictures of an unbelievable flying car were sent to us by our visitor Beatriz Sturla. Thanks a ton :)
Did anybody imagine that cars could ever fly? Here is the Terrafugia Transition that combines the unique convenience of being able to fold its wings with the ability to drive on any road in a modern personal airplane platform. Stowing the wings for road use and deploying them for flight at the airport is activated from inside the cockpit. Moreover you do not need a trailer or a hangar for it. You can get this by paying $194,000.
See after the jump the wonders of technology.

Anthony Toth, 42, built a replica of a first-class cabin from a Pan Am World Airways 747 in his garage!
He has spent more than 20 years on his creation of a Pan Am cabin and he estimates he has spent around $50,000 on the project.
I think it’s pretty well done, but I would never spend $50k and 20 years of my life for that…

The bear smelled the fish and threw itself on the plane. What a tremendous strength, just look what he did with it.

It happened in Russia. Though the engine was damaged, it wasn’t a problem to land. But it was impossible to take off, they had to fix the problem right on place.
They did not even repair the engine, they put a brand new one from Air France.
The difficult part was to work outside and the weather was pretty cold.
You’ll see pics of the replacement and pics of the damaged engine inside the post.

The white halo you can see on the pics is called the Prandtl–Glauert singularity (sometimes referred to as a "vapor cone"). It is the point at which a sudden drop in air pressure occurs, and is generally accepted as the cause of the visible condensation cloud that often surrounds an aircraft traveling at transonic speeds.
Inside the post, you will see that kind of pictures. That’s quite impressive.

Very rare shots. Personally, it is the first time I see pictures of an airplane after it was struck by lightning.
I hope it happens not too often...
