Let’s recollect all major news events from 2011 as recreated in Lego.

We had some of these chalk drawings in Daily Picdump. Now it’s time to see the whole process of this awesome 3D LEGO masterpiece’s creation. This piece of street art was drawn at the Sarasota Chalk Festival in Florida.

Lego builders who are also Star Wars fans love to make original scenes from the movie out of Lego. This scene from “Return of the Jedi” is the 30,000-piece Lego model with 388 Star Wars minifigures.

It’s officially blockbuster summer movie season with the open of Thor in the US. Here is what the summer’s movie posters would look like if they were done Lego style. They are rather interesting.

Everything is cooler when built out of LEGO bricks and these charming pictures are no exception. The precision employed by the artist to bring popular pictures to life using regular LEGOs will astound you.

American student Alex Eylar is a big Lego fan. He has a huge collection of 30,000+ Lego parts and pieces that he used to brick together scenes from popular movies. You can see what he’s got after the jump.

Back to the Future

These amazing ships are all made of Legos. Most of them are large, some are small, and they are all realistic. It must have taken months for these amazing ships to be assembled. They are truly incredible works of art.

An impossible reality shown in M. C. Escher’s graphic art is now possible due to the two Lego fans. Constructions born in Escher’s mind are recreated by Andrew Lipson and Daniel Shiu who did a great job in building architecture using Lego bricks. I am amazed by these two guys!

I can imagine how much time it took to create these. Trucks look good but I prefer the guns :)
