The volcano that has erupted in Iceland disrupts the whole world. Millions of passengers can’t get home because all Asia-Europe flights are stopped – governments are afraid of the fallout from the ash cloud drifting from the erupting Eyjafjallajökull volcano. Dormant for two centuries, a volcano erupted in southern Iceland in March. It ripped a 1 km-long fissure in a field of ice shooting out lava a hundred meters high. The last time the volcano erupted was in 1821.
